Seven pen sketches to try to get caught up for Inktober. Still behind lol but closer now to finishing the month with 31 sketches for Inktober. I thought if I just drew very quick 5 minute sketches I could get caught up as this month has turned out to be a lot busier than I thought it would be. I don't think I will do anything more with these but they make nice warm up pieces to get my wrist moving on the page.

Everyday in May #10 is 'a door' So sketched a simple blue door, nothing special but still a door lol

Everyday in may #7 is 'Something that makes you sad' I can't think of anything I can draw that makes me sad and I don't tend to think of sad things anyway so I drew something that makes me happy. Ice cream, lactose intolerant be damned lol

OK technically not life drawing since this is from a photo, but I don't have time to take an actual life drawing class, so this will have to do for practice. This need some more refining and then I might use my markers for the shading. I found the photo here . Very useful site if you want to get some practice in drawing the human form.

Drew this in the waiting room at the dentist while I waited for the blood from a pulled tooth to stop. It did sort of stop, no major bleeding, just a big hole in my jaw lol I went home at lunch on Tuesday from uni as my jaw was aching. Yesterday was spent feeling like I was being punched in the face, so phoned the dentist today to get seen, since I didn't sleep and couldn't eat. Long story short, the molar top left had to go. Cracked right threw and an exposed nerve, so thats why it hurt so much. The tooth had 3 roots, was odd to see since they were pretty big. But it is gone now, so no more throbbing pain, just pain from the hole in my jaw. 6 teeth pulled, 10 if you count the wisdom teeth. My usual dentist, (who really really knows his stuff), is on holiday so I saw his boss since I have limited mouth opening due to the jaw surgery. He did a great job getting the tooth out, took no time at all. And I have Friday off from uni now, told me not to go, just sleep lol

Looks like the bastard mix up of a dog and a dragon lol just needs a bouncy ball to play with and a collar. The dragon still needs shading and there needs to be more waves but I think this basic background is starting to look good. Hopefully get some time tomorrow to work on it, but not holding my breath.

A new dog toy for Sky. Its a kids toy but she doesn't destroy toys like this, well not with her teeth anyway. She does shakes them pretty hard and the seams don't always appreciate the thrashing but nothing a thread and needle wont fix.

Since there is a bunch of computer parts laying around, todays sketch is a computer fan. Its orange so should have used my coloured pens for it but I forgot :p Hands still kind of numb but at least they are not any worse.

Three sketches for today, this is  supposed to be the end of a network connector for telecomms.My hand is almost completely numb, so its a bit hard to do much with it. I think I can only type due to muscle memory and the delete key lol I figure even just making really really rough sketches will help my hand a little bit and maybe help the muscles and tendons to not get any worse. The hand is numb either because of a MS flare up from being sick, or its the start of a relapse which is odd since I just finished a course of steroids for the coughing. Time will tell what is going on. John's wallet, which I love because it has a dragon on it. I would get one for myself, but its pretty big and doesn't really fit in any of my bags. Sort of looks like a figure skate, but I def would not be skating at the moment. Would probably fall on my backside as soon as I stepped on the ice.

A slice of pizza for #5 and a small glass jar full of solvents for #6. Hit my head hard on a door frame, so have a bit of a headache, hence the short post lol

A smore donut for todays sketch. And there is no way you could eat this without a fork and knife, the filling goes everywhere. It was very sweet, but some days you just need the sugar lol

I blame how bad these sketches are on hand pain. Even tho its my left hand that is in pain and I am right handed, its kind of distracting and well, painful lol So here is a butterfly barrette and my hair brush, that looks very very pointy lol And hopefully I get to work on the Barn Owl to try to get finished by this weekend.Too much stuff to do/learn and not enough time.

In Canada I use to drink from jam jars all the time, and now you can get wine glasses made from jam jars. Having a handle def makes it easier to drink from. Had some strawberries today, perfect for sketching.If we manage to make strawberry muffins, I will probably sketch them too.

A badly drawn shoe lol I actually can't wear these anymore, any type of heel is out for me with my balance being so bad. Not a huge loss since I was never a shoe girl and could never, and still don't understand why a person needs more than a few pairs of shoes. Number 149 is another one of the many hats laying around. Hats at least have many purposes lol Rainy days, sunny days, bad hair days :p

Alexandra said I should draw the whole duck and colour it, so thats what I plan on doing digitally. And of course its raining again. I know its Scotland, but seriously?!? Enough already. This is the sketch from yesterday coloured digitally in Illustrator.

There was a bunch of cherries in the fridge so thought one would make a good object to sketch. John took a lot of photos of them for me, so will probably end up doing little colour studies of them in the future.

Still 223 sketches left to go. Probably going to end up drawing odd knicks knacks to try to find new things to draw so find myself looking around the house trying to find something that might be interesting to draw but not too hard to draw in 5 minutes lol I guess I could go draw parts of the car if I run out of things near the end. Lots of buttons to draw if needed and would be out of the rain.

More dog toys lol This is supposed to be a tiger, but looks more like a bear. And a very sad looking rabbit. Probably sad because he lost his hat. (its on a shelf but I just haven't sewn it back on his head yet)
