Weekly Book Wrap Up
Managed to finish 2 books this week, if I keep up that pace I should meet my goal but if I don't I wouldn't be that annoyed at myself. Sadly, I know I've read more books at the moment then some people have since leaving high school. It just blows my mind that there are people out there who don't read any kind of story because they don't have to for school :( I don't feel better than a none reader, please don't think that, I just feel sorry that a person is possibly missing out of possibly reading a great story that can make them happy/forget about lifes problems/help relaxing. But I've been a reader my whole life and not just for school, so maybe thats the difference.
The Snake, the Crocodile and the Dog by Elizabeth Peters
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Giving one character amnesia gave the series even more of a soap opera feeling then usual, but still entertaining to read and thats really all a person can expect from the series.
High-Rise by J.G. Ballard
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Started out so promising, and then literally everything went to hell after that. I finished it thinking maybe, just maybe, I might figure out what the message/theme/idea the author was going for, but nope. Nada. Everything just goes to hell because people envy people living on different floors, and thats the reason. Very weak story telling :/

2016 Reading Challenge
Jennifer has
read 27 books toward
her goal of
100 books.
I completely agree with you, it always blows my mind when someone tells me they don't read, or hate reading. Then I feel bad for them because they can't have anything entertaining to think about :D
ReplyDeleteexactly! there are so many genres of books out there, there has to be one that gets a persons attention. read comics if reading a book doesn't do it for you. read even a magazine, anything is better than not reading
