Weekly Book Review

Ack! so far behind in reading lol but 2 more finished to add to the list.

Hitman Anders and the Meaning of It AllHitman Anders and the Meaning of It All by Jonas Jonasson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Laughed aloud a few times, nothing new style wise from the author but still amusing. And a good book to sit in the sun and waste away an afternoon with. The ending is a little weak, but the story starts out strong in introducing the characters and their backstories.

Lord of the Silent (Amelia Peabody, #13)Lord of the Silent by Elizabeth Peters
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ok back to having too many characters for the story, really could have gotten rid of a few (the Vandergelts brought nothing to this particular story, where in past books they have) and the story would have been fine. Probably a lot better actually since I don't think they really brought anything at all to it, they really did nothing at all (ok you could argue the step son shows the effects of war, but even that is glossed over). The usual is he dead or not mystery that you could figure out a mile away. If it wasn't for a few parts that made me laugh, this would be rated 2 stars.
