The Road to Little Dribbling: More Notes From a Small IslandThe Road to Little Dribbling: More Notes From a Small Island by Bill Bryson
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Bit of a disappointment :( Some parts were funny but on the whole, this was pretty much a person wishing "for the good ole days" to return and complaining almost the whole book about how things have changed. And really hard to call this Notes From a Small Island when he really doesn't spend much time in Scotland, mostly just in England. Notes from England would be more accurate.

Wastelands: Stories of the ApocalypseWastelands: Stories of the Apocalypse by John Joseph Adams
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A good collection of short stories, but the quality of them gets worse as you get to the end. Don't read if you are easily depressed, but really, all of the people complaining that the collection is depressing, what did you expect from a collection of stories about the end of the world? Its the end of the world people, it is usually depressing and just generally full of bad things happening.

  1. Excellent reviews! Definitely seems likely that most end of world stories will be dark...
