Summer of Colour #3
This weeks colours for The Summer of Color are 2 purples and a yellow and this is what I did with them. Not my favorite colours so really racked my brain trying to think how I could use them and which bird to use. Decided to go with a juvenile Golden Eagle since I don't have any photos of a purple bird :p I think I prefer the black background, the yellow seems to stand out more against it. Which do you prefer?
nice job and practice makes perfect!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, I am impressed! I love drawing, but I'm not sure I could do as well as you with my non-dominant left hand. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is great for left handed. I love the sketchy feel!
ReplyDeleteIt's not so bad. I like that it's sort of loose and free! Who knows? You may develop a whole new style for yourself that you just LOVE!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! This is amazing with any hand. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI would never have known this was a non-dominant hand drawing if you hadn't told us. It's really good!

thank you Chris :) the drawing has given me another idea for a 365 so im glad I did it :)
left handed? But I totally loved it. You manage to capture the birds expression ans with the wrong hand. I´m impressed. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful, I like it a lot! I'm pretty useless when it comes to my left hand doing art, but I think it's smart of you to train your left hand. I know another artist who has done so just to be careful and I think it's impressive.
ReplyDeleteThere was a time I had to start drawing with my left hand due to muscle and wrist pain. It was a fun challenge while I gave my dominant hand time to recoup. Your Corbid drawing is amazing!
ReplyDeleteNatureFootstep, yep left handed :) thank you

thanks Juana :) its so hard tho not going back to using my right hand lol
Impressive! Whichever hand, I really like the scratchy style of this, suits the bird's face perfectly.
ReplyDeletethank you Paula :)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, I think you're doing INCREDIBLY well drawing with your left-hand. I'd be sorry-out-of-luck if I wasn't able to use my right hand for awhile! lol :)
