I would never use the word simple for your dragon. Such wonderful details and pencil shadings and markings! And I just learned about a bird I never heard of before either;) Happy PPF!
Your dragon is anything but simple and very beautiful. I am so sorry to hear about your pain and hope you will heal quickly. In the meantime you are making the best of it, I admire how great your left-hand sketches are, simply amazing.
thanks Linda :) happy PPF too :) I think the dragon is simple because I didn't really add alot of spikes or scales to him :) could have went really overboard with the scales lol
thanks Tracy :)
thank you Christine :)
thanks Clare :)
gillena, drawing the dragon did take my mind of off my elbow pain, just felt it when I was finished :/ you should draw a dragon, they are fun to draw and can look how ever you want it too :)
thanks Claudia W :) im actually really enjoying drawing with my left hand a lot more than I thought I would :)
Yup, you still got it!! I was missing your dragons, too, but that's too high a price to pay. Hope your arm is feeling better very soon. ( Love the Inca Jay, too! )
I can see the right hand control in your dragon but oh MY...he is a stunner. I can see where your heart is. Worth the pain to you obviously! Take a rest before you do another one.
Ohhhh this dragon is absolutely your best. Anyway the best that I have seen. I am so impressed that you can draw with your non dominate hand. Truly amazing.
Chris, I was missing my dragons too lol :) arm is worse but at this stage I am thinking I am just going to have to live with the pain :/
thanks Giggles :)
Julie, was worth the pain. as much as Ia m enjoying drawing with my left, its nice using the right again :) its much easier to use my right to draw since I am use to it :)
This weeks colours for The Summer of Color are 2 purples and a yellow and this is what I did with them. Not my favorite colours so really racked my brain trying to think how I could use them and which bird to use. Decided to go with a juvenile Golden Eagle since I don't have any photos of a purple bird :p I think I prefer the black background, the yellow seems to stand out more against it. Which do you prefer?

ReplyDeleteSuper sketches
ReplyDeleteOnce you got the dragon on paper, did he leave your elbow? He looks like cause of your pain...beautifully done at that. Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteYour dragon is lovely. There was one in my dreams last night. I will try to draw it. I've never drawn one before
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend
Much love...

The dragon is wonderful! I'm sorry it hurt your right arm to draw it. The bird is also beautiful, your left handed sketches are amazing.
