Finished Falcon
Finally finished the falcon etching. yay :)
Really happy with how this turned out and the dark and light contrast between the upper body and lower body I think works really well.
Now onto the next one, which I will try to make something other than a bird, but no promises.

ReplyDeleteJen he is absolutely amazing. What a talent you have got. Well doneπππ
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Jen. The sense of light/shadow under the wing while retaining the softness of the feathers - truly stunning.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Super gorgeous! Love the way it turned out. :)
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking! One of your best... all the subtle value changes are there. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Such detail and variety in the feathers. I don't know how you do it.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSo when you wrote: more like they are for an evil dead fairy
I wonder what sort of mushrooms they are! Are they dripping black inky stuff?
Sounds like you have Coprinopsis atramentaria, ink cap. As it ages it starts dripping an ink like substance. Some folks have made ink from it to make art, pretty cool, eh. 'IF' it is that mushroom, it is edible before it begins to get inky.
ReplyDeleteOh this is so gorgeous! I love it so much, it's brilliant. Thank you also for the crocus id on the flowers...
