Falcon Update #14

Image
Almost done the bottom left area. Might have gone a bit dark but that just means I make the shading in some parts darker to compensate. I will be so glad when I can go in and shade the head as it looks really flat right now.

Throwback Thursday

Image
An eagle from 2008 done in coloured pencil with the background done with Neocolor IIs. The detail on the feathers probably could have been better but the eye looks nice.

New Ponty Stabby Tool

Image
So John made a new etching tool out of a welding rod, and it is very very pointy (already stabbed myself with it lol) The detail I can get with it is great so decided to try it out on a new etching. These eyes still need work but its a good start.

Nirvana - Man who sold the world Another of my all time personal favourites, prefer it over the Bowie original.

Falcom Update #13

Image
Another small update since I am still working away on my dissertation. Almost ready to start the shading, hopefully lol

An ACEO from 2008 done in coloured pencils. If it didn't take so long to work this tiny I would probably work more in this size, but for the time you put into them you don't get the money back for your time which is a shame but most people wouldn't pay a lot for something this tiny done in coloured pencil.

Random Dragon Sketch

Image
So after trying to sketch a car for over an hour I gave up because it looked like crap and drew a dragon instead lol I need to practice cars more so expect to see some car sketches once they don't look really really bad. And someone got her stitches out today but is still on very strict confinement which is giving her cabin fever. Another month at least of restricted movement.

Chris Knight - Down The River I really like this despite its bleak storyline

Throwback Thursday

Image
A graphite tiger from 2008. I used coloured pencils for the eyes and nose and I think this was done on Stonehenge paper (which I hate lol). If I am remembering correctly it its only about 5 or 6 inches big. I need to draw more big cats, always love drawing them.

Falcon Update #12

Image
I will finish this eventually lol. Definitely needs more shading on the head since it looks very flat at the moment but I want to get the rest of the feathers done before I do that. Its getting there so should be done in a few weeks, maybe lol

Manic Street Preachers - If you tolerate this, then your children will be next One of my favourite Manics tracks, really resonated with me when I heard when it first came out, and stuck with me, not letting things that are wrong go unchallenged.

Falcon Update #11

Image
Another quick falcon etching update. Added a bit more feathers to the bottom and a bit  more shading to the sides but long way still to go. A close up of the eye showing all of the cross hatching and why this takes forever lol

I actually have no idea how old this is, more than 20 years old as I do remember drawing it in high school. Done on cheap printer paper and with Crayola pencil crayons. I would call coloured pencils pencil crayons and didn't know why until John pointed its probably something to do with french or a Canadian thing lol (yep he looked it up, its a Canadian thing)
