For Sale A cute little Leopard cub :) And the bag is almost done, just need to make a lining with a pocket. Kind of want to make a bigger one now, but that would probably take forever lol

with patterns :) I really like doing this, take a simple design, in this case a little gear and mess around with it in GIMP. Some might see it as cheating making use of filters and pattern setting to get the design to repeat, but it saves so much time, I don't care :p A ripple filter with the samed design, with darker blue circles added. And a mosiac filter, with the and then I changed the levels to make the blue darker :)

Still working on this horse. Might need to fix that far eye a bit, but since its mostly going to be covered with hair, it might end up looking all right the way it is. Normally I would have a simple horse head done by now, but its over 30cm tall so is taking a bit longer then normal.

I got nipped by an African Grey Parrot once, was feeding it a fry and it grabbed my finger at the same time :p Hurt a bit and its beak was nowhere near the size of this Macaws. This is done on cartridge paper, so not a lot of tooth to it. I like the smooth look, you just have to choose the colours you are going to use wisely as you might only get 6 or 7 layers of pencil if you are lucky and have a light touch. Almost done the handles *dances*. The colours here are nothing like they really are, going to have to get a pic of it outside on a sunny day. Just some random dragon head :p So my tongue is numb. Loads of fun and I have a lisp. Makes saying things with "S" in them fun lol Because its been like that for about 4 days and getting worse, phoned one of the MS nurses and she decided that I should take a course of steriods since the last time I took some was more than 2 years ago. 500mg of steriods is pretty high, but its only for 3 to 5 days. Not sure what will happen if they don't work. A higher dose?

Adding the handles on my bag. Normally by this stage I am bored and just stop the project, never to finish it. But I do really want to finish this and I am so close to, just needs a lining after the handles. And the start of another coloured pencil drawing. This time a Macaw, (yes another bird :p). Lots of blue in this bright blue in this bird, but also lots of feathers. For more creative spaces, head here

Well, one bug :p Because it won't fit on the scanner, and I don't have the patience to wait until the sun is up, I had to take a photo of the sketch and then put 2 halves together. And I ended up with a big glowing centre, but that wont matter once this is transfered onto better paper for me to colour. Its killing my back, but I really want to get the centres done so I can start on the handles. The little centres are actually white, but they are picking up the pink and purple colours from the flowers, which I don't mind, just would have liked it more if the white stood out a tad more.

For Sale Finished the tiger, who still doesn't have a title lol He did end up looking like a really big kitten and now onto the next drawing. Just not sure what yet..... I did think about another big cat, but should probably draw something I don't draw a lot of.

All the pink flowers done, now, to fill in the spaces...going to take awhile :p And I thought I would make a Etsy treasury full of crochet flowers, there are a few I really want to learn to make :) 'In Bloom' by fuzzydragons colourful crochet flowers :D Crochet Flowers - Pink and C... ...

So technically today is a day off, but I can't go a day without drawing ;p So to have a change from my tiger, I thought might was well draw a horse. The basic line work above. I had to drop the cheek and widen it a bit as the nose looked too long. Starting to fill in the values. I think the ears are a bit too small, look too much like pony ears, but they are cute so might leave them that size :p And where it is at right now. Lots more shading to do, and that far eye needs to be blocked in. Might be a little tricky to do because of the angle. Time till tell :)

Almost done, still need to fix the bridge of the nose a little bit, but its not as off centre as I thought it would be. Its dark, but not this dark. The problem with scanning black, it can be so hard to get a good scan even after you mess with the settings with software.

This month the country that is visited on the Virtual Paintout blog is Thailand. I ended up just doing a quick sketch of a temple and addded a bit of colour with my markers. I use my ink pens all the time, but really should use my markers more, they work really well, and add a nice touch of colour to a black and white sketch.

yeah the nose is off centre :p but it should work once I have the whole thing finished, and if it doesn't, I will just crop the paper so its just the eyes. I don't have a title for it, I  have such a hard time thinking them up. Unititled #458 just doesn't work very well :p And only 4 more rows until I can start to put the handles on.Actually no I can't, need to put fillers between the flowers before that.... Listed this print on Etsy : ) Only one print was made these colours.

So went with the black paper. I forgot that I get more of a painted look with black paper, not sure why I don't use it more, I like it. A lot of people say that when you use yellow coloured pencils on black, you run the risk of it looking green, but I've never had that happen. Maybe because I never use just straight yellow on the black paper? I put down a light layer of yellow first and then if its an eye like this, a light layer of brown.If its flowers, I try to mix a bit of red into the yellow, or actually green to make a blue flower.

Tiger head sketch that I want to turn into a coloured pencil piece. Just need to figure out what paper to use before I start. Could use black, but it sometimes feels like cheating because the values are already there :p

For Sale  Prints Finished Eagle, pretty proud of it :D Not sure what I am going to draw next. I was thinking rhinos or elephants, but not too sure. Of course I could just end up drawing another bird....

I read and watch and lot of books and movies about zombies :p This one, made me laugh :D

Jeanette posted a few sketches, and I commented that I really haven't sketched a lot since college stopped. Figured I probably should try to sketch something everyday, time flies and college will be starting up sooner then I think, so will try to sketch everyday now. Won't post the sketches everyday, I think sketches of my phone and hand would get boring really fast :p These took about 10 minutes to do, so sketching everyday is doable.

sort of :p Need to darken a lot of the feathers and do some more shading under the beak. Thankfully the feeling in my right hand came back, but my left foot is very painful :/ Feels like the toes are curled but they are not, and the muscles are really tense. Its very hard to explain. Like my foot is getting bent in odd directions but its perfectly straight :/ ah the joys of having a condition that changes from day to day :p One day I have no feeling in my hands, the next I can't remember what a pencil is called, and then I have lots of people asking me if I am drunk when my legs don't work and I limp a lot. Hell, when I have had something to drink, I walk straighter :p

So my right hand at the moment has no feeling, lots of fun :p So I guess its looking like a good idea more and more to teach myself to use my left to draw. A left handed apple. I actually think this turned out pretty well, it looks like an apple at least :p

Bit more done. I don't want to go to dark at first, might not be able to erase it. I want to try to get a soft look to the feathers, but time will tell if I do.
