Scottish Word of the Week

Image
This weeks word is, 1. dunt Last weeks word,  sleuch, means to drink noisily.

A Hooking We will Go....

Image
And now to put all the squares together.... I had wanted to get a few rows done today, but I have no feeling in my right hand, and I have no idea how to crochet left handed. All the crochet work has sort of messed my hand up, little frustrating since I do have to draw this week. Should be better after I get some sleep, and if not, I have a lot of books to get caught up with. Or I could just be really lazy and watch a bunch of movies :p

Seeing Double

Image
Small update to the tiger :) Its actually a lot darker then this but the camera is really messing with the tones. 10 month old collie John saw walking Sky. She looks so much like Sky, right down to the spots on her muzzle. Could be from the same place, hard to say, but besides Sky having more white on her face, they could be twins.

6 more to make.....

Scottish Word of the Week

Image
There is a path in there somewhere:-P , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. 1. sleuch The last word, collop means is a thin slice of meat fried in a pan.

Oops

Image
It is an oops, but I actually like how it turned out :) I had the plate facing the wrong way, remembered after to make sure it was right way up for the rest. I kind of wish I had of used blue ink, would have really messed with the eyes :p The park is flooded! Over a foot of water in some places. Sky hates that much water, but there was a spaniel that did a running dive in it, looked so happy to get wet :p

Stripes?

Image
Yay! Off for 3 weeks :D Time to be lazy... well not really, lots of non-college drawings to finish, including this tiger. This shouldn't take that long, and then I need to finish the owl I started and then maybe get some printing done *crosses fingers* Just hoping it doesn't rain the whole 3 weeks. If it keeps up like it has today, its going to look like Waterworld soon :p

Wonky

Image
An etching idea. I really should use a ruler when drawing totem poles, it looks like a drunk carved it, or the tree was really bendy :p

Shocker!

Image
I drew something :p Line art for a tiger, probably going to draw it with graphite. Would use coloured pencils, but don't want to take weeks on it :p One week until Xmas break, 3 weeks off. Yay! but that also means its closer to my birthday..booo :p

On Fire Cut Up

Image
So this , was cut up into little 2 by 2 squares. Its very abstract and looks nothing like the original, but I like it :) Assessments were today, but we wont find out anything until next week :/ And now I can sleep, no more staying up till 3 in the morning to make sure everything is done :p

Red Fish

Image
Managed to get a few prints of this, not sure how many yet as they are hanging up to dry and I don't want to touch them. Might just be one that lined up properly, but hopefully there is at least 2 so I can either keep it or put it up for sale. Assessment for this block tomorrow, which is a good thing since I really need to clean. The house looks like a bomb went off :p

Busy Busy Busy

Image
Getting a bit cold out , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. with college work, and thankfully I managed to get most of it done, yay! We have assessments this week, so had to make sure that I had everything I needed done. Just didn't get the printing done. Tried to print at 2 am and nothing was working so decided I probably should be in bed lol. Hopefully get the printing done in the next 2 days, even if I have to use a hair dryer on the ink. Not going to do what Ingrid does with wet prints, my luck I would start a house fire :p

Fish Take 2

Image
charcoal fish , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. The first attempt at this drawing didn't really work out. The fish looked good, but the vase was too long and once I saw that, it was all I could see. This time, the vase is the right size, (I think :p). I'm getting charcoal everywhere lol

Round and Round....

Image
My hand hates me now :p This is just a test print to see if I need to do anymore carving for the first colour pass, doesn't look like I need to carve anymore, (thankfully :p). So now to mark up the registration  and do a few, probably 6, final prints. Hopefully I end up with at least one good print I can use *crosses fingers*

More Lino Fish

Image
A small reduction print for college, really just a test piece to see how the red, white and black go together with the fish design. Looks all right, so now to finish carving the bigger block, and haven'nt cut myself lately :p

Reverb Day 4

Image
Todays prompt , " How are you going to celebrate your self this festive season? "  By getting drunk?? :p Actually, I will probably spend most of the time sleeping and trying to get over this chest infection, a.k.a. the plague. So not much celebrating going on.

Ice on the windscreen

Image
Ice on the windscreen , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. It snowed last night, but not enough to make a snowman :( Another daily blogging activity, with prompts for the month :) The prompt for today , and for me it seems fairly obvious. A cure for MS would be nice. Not having to worry about if I am going to wake up and not be able to walk, or lose all the feeling in my hands. Hell, I would be happy if they made a pill for people with RRMS that I could take, yes, there is a daily pill now, but it is for very active RRMS. I am really sick of having to inject myself 3 times a week,(yes, I know there are people that have to inject themselves many times a day), with the addition of the bleeding disorder I look like I have been shot in the stomach and butt :/

Ural Owl #1

Image
Started to colour the little owl :) He or she, still needs a lot of work so that the marks look like feathers and look more fluffy. I really enjoying colouring feathers, especially on coloured paper. The base colour really helps with the shadows on the feathers, all you have to remember to do is to make the marks in the right directions. This , is now cut into 2 by 2 inch squares and the squares make a much nicer painting then the whole piece. Once I have them mounted I will make sure to get some photos to post here.
