grrrr?

Start of a new drawing , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. I did something to my arm again, so can't draw as much as I would like :/ This might take awhile, unless I load myself up with painkillers :p

ACK!!!

Image
No, I couldn't put this away for a few days, I had to touch it. See that spot?? A drop of turps :/ I didn't notice it until I went to scan the piece, and its not thata big but its very noticeable. Might have fixed it. *crosses fingers* OK, def. putting this away for a few days now, still stinks from the turps :p

Scraperboard #2

Image
For sale That was fun :) Now to figure out what to do next and on a bigger scale.

Scraperboard #1

Image
Figured I might as well stick to something I can draw well already, a cat's eye. I think I have found a new favourite art medium :) It reminds me so much of etching, which I love doing.

Eagles #11

Putting this away for a few days and moving onto something else. Its way past time I use the scratchboard I bought and also do some printing. Well, thats the idea anyway. Probably go back to using coloured pencils again :p

Hoot?

Image
Been drawing a lot of birds lately, not sure why. Maybe its because I keep hearing the Tawny Owls in the area hooting on the roof :p Would love to save up some cash and get this book, looks really interesting.

Eagles #10

Image
I really didn't work a lot on this today, besides adding solvents to the background colour,(and getting a little woozy from the fumes). I might add some more colours to the background, probably a bit of indigo and a few more dark greens, but I like how it looks :)

Eagles #9

Image
Still hotter then hades out :/ But with the help of a fan, I was able to work on the eagles :)

Go Away Sun

summer view , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. Ok, I am not a summer person. Never have been, never will be :p And heat really effects my MS, to the point I can't move and have zero energy. So while everyone else is out enjoying the odd weather, I am in front of a fan, drinking a lot of cold fluids :p (and eating ice cream, healthy eating be damned :p) 31c is not normal for here(normally you can see the hills from the kitchen door clearly, but its so hot, the air is hazy :/)

Mystery Sketch

Image
OK, so maybe not that much of a mystery :p

Music Monday

I can't remember if I posted a video for this band before, oh well if I did :p One of my favourite bands, and Naveed was the first album I bought with baby sitting money lol

Eagle #8

Image
My scanner really doesn't like scanning these pencils lol makes it look a lot more grainy then it actually is. Not sure how I could fix that, will have to do a bit of research. Not a whole lot done today, since my right arm is starting to hurt again, so I can draw for about 15 mins and then have to stop and have a break :/ Really don't want to pull a tendon again, so for the nest few days it will probably be slow going. This is taking forever :p

Eagles #7

Image
Bad photo, but there is no light right now :p Added some Electric Blue to the darks, gives it a splash of colour. Looked like eye shadow for awhile until I toned it down :p

Eagles #6

Worked a bit more on the eagles today. Using a lot of purple and indigo for the darks, still not dark enough in some parts. Lots of feathers to do on these birds, and I will happy once I get to the bigger/brighter feathers. Really think they will start taking shape then.      For Sale Decided to crop the leopard. I didn't think I was going to finish it, and thought might as well crop the parts I do like :)

Eagles #4

Image
And then there were 2 :) Probably should have used a lighter support, but you work with what you have laying around the house :p

Eagles #3

Image
Started to colour the eagles today, only using coloursofts this time. The pencils work wonderfully on matte board, just glide across the surface and also seem to blend better then using them on straight paper. Its supposed to be sunny tomorrow, so hopefully can get a photo since the light from the scanner bed seems to be reflecting a little bit off of the wax based pencils.

Eagles #2

Image
eagles1 , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. Finished line art. The basic eagle shape is there, but I think once I start putting the feathers in and start colouring them, they will look less like crows :p

Books Books Books

Image
I read a lot of books, not as much as I would like since I do have to draw, getting this nook has helped a lot when my hands go numb and I can't turn the pages. So I think I will start writing down what I have read every month again and a short little blurb about it :) 1. Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare  The last book in a trilogy, completely mindless books with lots of Victorian era flare to them. Pretty much just read this to finish the series since it became very predictable. 2. Red Seas Under Red Skies (Gentleman Bastard #2) by Scott Lynch Read this book! OK, read the first one first or you might be a little lost, but the series s o far is very entertaining. I really enjoy that the characters say  exactly what they mean. Because really, if you are about to be killed, what are you going to say? "!$%^ me" or "oh, no" ? 3. Outpost (Razorland #2) by Ann Aguirre    I had forgott

Golden Eagle #1

Image
The start of a new drawing. There will be 2 eagles in this, and I have tried colouring them previously, but that didn't work out, the colours just didn't look right. Hopefully this time it fairs better. For awhile this one was starting to look more lean like an osprey, but I think it looks more like an eagle now. hmmm I don't think I have actually ever drawn/coloured an osprey, need to remedy that.

New Meds

Image
Need to start taking these in an effort to try to help with the nerve pain in my face. Lots of fun feeling like your face is on fire :p My MS nurse says that it is Trigeminal neuralgia . I can't even pronounce that :p Another invisible symptom to add to the list. Most of my symptoms, the average person can not see, which does of course cause the usual looks and whispers behind my back that I am perfectly fine. I am very vocal about the fact that not all disabilities are visual, there are so many that you cannot see but they still effect a person. I just wish more people realized this and didn't immediately jump to conclusion that a person is making everything up.

Happy Canada Day!
