Eagle Owl Update #25

Image
Starting to add shading to the owl. I need to go a lot darker but I am always so worried I will go too dark with the shading at first, and this isn't really a medium where you can fix mistakes. So a lot more work to come hopefully.

Eagle Owl Update #24

Image
Finished with the feathers on the owl, not to start the shading. That shouldn't take as long as the feathers did, but my luck the will lol This is what the Dr thinks I did to my knee but can't be sure until the MRI (nothing gross or graphic in the video)

Eagel Owl Update #23

Image
I really need to finish this. I have a list of half finished projects I need to do, but this is number 1 on the list. It is getting closer to being finished and should get it finished in the next few days hopefully. I can't do anything else but sit on my ass for awhile now because I've messed up my knee, waiting on an MRI to see what I did to it. Be very happy to  get the feathers done and then start the shading for the whole bird.

Weekly Book Wrap Up

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick My rating: 4 of 5 stars I've read this too many times to count now, always enjoy it. Not as much of a mind trip as other works by PDK, but still question reality. Even though Blade Runner is based on this, the book goes into what is real and what isnt a lot more than the movie and the androids are not some super powered things, they are like everyday humans, so brings up some ethical questions of if it is OK to kill them for just being machines? Winged Dragon Update #6

Image
I had started to put texture on my little dragon, but then I messed up and everything went haywire with him lol So I have to put texture on him again. I've rounded off his face, thought it looked a bit too pointy for a dragon that is looking more cute than angry lol I like his clunky feet, probably couldn't walk very well or quickly with them, but the feet look cute :)

Throwback Thursday

Image
Found some art from a few years ago. This dragon is from 2009 when I was trying to relearn how to use graphite. Might take the idea and redo it with Painter actually,  would be easy to get rock texture digitally. Probably around the same year, my first attempt at reduction linocut. Not bad for a first go, registration is off slightly, but could be worse lol
