Finished Dragon Graphic

Image
Finished dragon graphic for my site. Not 100% happy with it but for the area it is going, I am not spending anymore time on it and can always change it in the future. And an All-Purpose presser foot for one of the sewing machines. This is generally used on the newer one, but could probably be used on the older one now that John fixed it. And the older one seems to sew threw anything, (probably fingers if you didn't watch out)

Creepy

Image
Still working on the poly art dragon, almost finished. I then have to decide if I want to keep the background or take it away and use a plain background instead. This will def. need messing around with in Photoshop to bring the colours out. A creepy looking skull candle is todays sketch. The inside is red, so the theory is it looks like it is bleeding when you burn it. Not exactly anatomically correct tho lol

Sunday Sketch

A donut or doughnut, how ever you spell it, donut just seems like the lazy way to spell it lol Started to work on some graphics to put on my website. Not sure if I will end up using it on my site when its finished, but can probably find something to do with it.

Sketches #215 and #216

A Halloween mug with a little bat on it and we finally bought new measuring spoons, so don't have to just guess when baking anything now lol I still really need to practice my ellipses. The measuring spoon looks ok, but the mug is all wrong. More practice!

Weekly Book Wrap Up

Image
Island by Aldous Huxley My rating: 2 of 5 stars Pretty much a philosophical essay trying to come across as a story. And it doesn't work. Nimona by Noelle Stevenson My rating: 4 of 5 stars Really enjoyed this. Simple cutesy/indie art style. A few funny moments but would have liked more back story on Nimona herself. The Mammoth Book of Alternate Histories by Ian Watson My rating: 1 of 5 stars DNF I tried to finish this, I really did, and normally I love alternate history stories, but after 268 pages I had to give up. I found the stories just boring and nothing new. Currently Reading The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge tagged: currently-reading Batman: The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller tagged: currently-reading The Road to Little Dribb

3D Dragon

Image
I think I am finished modeling this dragon. I haven't decided if I am going to paint it yet or just leave it as it is. Depends on how much time I have in the next week. I added some bumpy texture to most areas on the dragon because he looked too flat and shiny. There was a reptile scale-like texture I tried but I thought it was actually too flat and didn't look dragon like when used. I really like how the top of the wings turned out after I added bones to them. Before that they didn't register as wings, they were way too boring.

Sketches #213 and #214

Yesterdays sketch of the shower head and todays sketch of the bath tap which is probably 40+ tears old lol

Finished Dog

Image
Finished the Husky the other day and probably could have made it more detailed but I think it looks OK the way it is. Too much detail with these I find can be really too busy for the eyes.

Poly Art-Dog

Image
The start of making more poly art. This time from a photo of a husky. I'm just practicing using some programs to see which ones I prefer. Not using Illustrator for most of this one, but doing this the long way with a program like Illustrator does give you more control of where the triangles go, but can take a lot longer. The daily sketch for today is part of an ink brush. I've never actual used it, usually just use normal everyday brushes when I use ink.

Sketches #210 Ó

A simple sketch of a whisk and a can opener made for people like me that sometimes can't even get the little lid off of a pop bottle lol
