"Odin" Copyright Jennifer Rose Phillip One of the unfinished commissions I am doing. Didn't get a chance to work on this very much today, went to the city. This is one big Rottie. Seems like all I am doing is drawing Rotties lately. I don't have a problem with that, just hope people don't start thinking that is the only breed of dog I can draw. Went to the business gateway today. So hopefully they can help me more with setting up a business (the evil tax side of it) and give me advice that other people haven't. I now have some nice brushes, so I can finally do some watercolour work with out fear of the brushes falling apart before I am finished (must refrain from having a sword fight with them). Dragon Banner Idea Copyright Jennifer Rose Phillip Graphite on Stonehenge Don't think I posted this here, another banner idea for my site or a design for business cards. I've changed my mind about having this in graphite, I think it will look a lot better if I colour it, and then put a picture of my art on the canvas being drawn on. So have to transfer this and then figure out which kind of coloured pencils to use on it. Really liking the Coloursofts right now, even though I have an unopened set of Prismas gathering dust. I promise to show a picture of the commission I am working on tomorrow. :) Have to take "Big Bad Blue" to another framers to see how much it would cost to get framed compared to a different framers. Spent today working on commissions and they are not ready to show anyone yet, but they mark the first commissions I have had while living in Scotland (have done commissions in Canada but I still think its cool), so heres to many more. :) So instead of a progress picture, (unless I get more of it done) have a few photos of a flower, actually its a tree, or maybe a bush, I have no idea actually. I have forgotten (again), but I just loved the flowers that are opening and they are going to make some really nice pictures. Debating on whether or not to have a Blog with just WIPS of commissions. Would make it easier for potential customers to see the art and give suggestion about improvements (and they wouldn't have to read my ramblings). I could also just email them progress shots. I don't know, it wouldn't be extra work for me but not sure how well it would work. Also got a lot of artwork ready for prints so going to add the option to buy certain prints to my site. "Ball of Fluff" 3.5 by 3 Inches Coloured Pencil on Murano Paper Another bird, big shock! Quick little drawing based on a photo from the reference library at WetCanvas. I'm trying to use up the little scrap pieces of the Murano paper I have laying around and still trying to get a loose style that I like. Almost there I think. Yesterday the shower looked like we had killed a cow in there (even though you would be hard pressed to even fit a calf in the space, never mind a full grown cow. And we wouldn't kill a cow in the bathroom, maybe the kitchen. [I'm joking!!] ). Died my hair red, and didn't do that bad of a job. Certain parts are redder (and brighter) than others but that will fade once I wash it a few times. :) John's hands are bright red, its funny to see. Waterfall Sketch Copyright Jennifer Rose Phillip 3 by 8.5 Inches Coloursofts on Murano paper I'm sure that vampires in the hospital is probably a really bad horror movie already and if not I'm sure it will be. 9 vials of blood. 9. I was light headed after that. Doc had no idea what is wrong with me hence the blood tests and I get to have my head scanned by a big magnet. Hmmm hopefully there isn't a metal plate in my head I don't know about. But as long as the drugs I am taking keep working I'm all right if Doctors never figure out whats wrong with me. Only problem one of the side effects of the drug is memory problems, which is starting to get annoying when I forget things. Finished the little sketch of a waterfall. Done to see if I could do a landscape in the first place and to do one with as little lines as possible. I like it, and definitely one that looks better in person. Got tagged by Wendy which means I have to write seven things about myself that most people don't know and then tag seven other bloggers by leaving comments on their blogs. Hmmm this is going to be hard, not sure what people don't know about me, or really want to know. 1. I was born with an extra finger on my left hand, an extra little little finger to be exact. It was cut off when I was 3 and I have this really neat scar that is all the rage at parties. No, not really. Most people are a little freaked out actually and the people that aren't ask all kinds of stupid questions. Like do I have the finger stashed away in a jar somewhere?? But I do wish it had not have got cut off, that would have been cool. :) 2. My first dogs name was "First". Yeah you read that right, not really good with the picking of names. Our tabby cat was named "M-head" because he had a M marking on his head. He came to it when called too, shook a paw for treats. Our next dog I want ...
