Monoprinting, when Jen makes a big mess everywhere :p Ink on a plate and then scraped away with a palette knife. I really just wanted to see how the print looked, so its nothing exciting to look at but I do like the effect you get from lifting the ink off the plate. Will def. be doing this again.

Managed to stab myself twice carving this, and I am nowhere near done. So crossing my fingers I don't stab myself too many more time, would have to buy more band-aids :p Going to be 3 colours, white, red and black. I think the design would actually work better done as a silk screen print, but we are not doing screen printing this block :(

I've made 3 mock up masks now for one of my classes and I like bits and pieces from them all but not the masks by themselves :/ Why did I have to be Libra rising? Why couldn't it have been something simple to make a mask out of, like Leo? Or one of the other animal signs? That would have been easy :p

I have never tried to draw myself before, at least I don't think I have, and we needed to for life drawing class. I need to practice :p It was due last week, and it was done, just missed class due to the chest infection which is not going away :/  I don't sound as much like Darth Vader anymore, but my right lung is burning and I am still short of breath. Really hoping it clears up by Friday, if not, its another trip to the docs.

Started an owl drawing today, I start with a very rough placement of where things go. Then I put in where the eyes and beak or going to go. More refining the lines and placement of things. And the finished lineart. I haven't decided if I am going to do this in coloured pencil or graphite yet, but either way its a lot of feathers to colour.

For Sale Finished little swan :) I could put some more water ripples on the paper, but I think they would just be distracting, so I am calling this finished. And now onto something else, yeah probably a bird or horse :p
