Cute Duck

Image
Finished the toy duck in Illustrator today, I think it turned out pretty cute. Def bright enough lol And this might be the last of the dogs toys that I haven't drawn yet. A purple hippo missing an eye that she chewed off. What is it with dogs and chewing off the eyes on stuffies??

365 Sketches #148 & #149

A badly drawn shoe lol I actually can't wear these anymore, any type of heel is out for me with my balance being so bad. Not a huge loss since I was never a shoe girl and could never, and still don't understand why a person needs more than a few pairs of shoes. Number 149 is another one of the many hats laying around. Hats at least have many purposes lol Rainy days, sunny days, bad hair days :p

365 Sketches #147

Alexandra said I should draw the whole duck and colour it, so thats what I plan on doing digitally. And of course its raining again. I know its Scotland, but seriously?!? Enough already. This is the sketch from yesterday coloured digitally in Illustrator.

June Virtual Paintout

Image
For Sale This month at TheVirtual Paintout the location we have to draw/paint/sketch is the Napa Valley, and this is the scene I drew for it. Last months location was Maine but I didn't get it finished on time to have posted on the blog but will still post it here. For Sale I seem to draw a lot of water with pastels and as much as the style isn't the sort of realism I usually try to draw, I like being able to be as loose as I want with the pastels to give myself a change of pace and not worry about detail.

365 Skethes #146

A pair of nail clippers for the dog. Its better to use nail clippers like this for your dog, rather then the guillotine type as they are easier to control and are less likely to cut the quick in the nail. You don't want to do that, freaks the dog out and gets blood everywhere if it is really bad. And a very basic sketch for an umbrella that I want to vector. I don't need a sketch to use Illustrator but it certainly helps to have something to work from.

Vector Cherry

Image
Took the sketch of the cherry from yesterday and used Illustrator to make vector art with it. I like this style a lot, just focusing on the basic shapes/colours and not trying to fill in every detail. Tempted to try this with a few different birds and also with making images for a few fairy tales I want to work on.
