The Mystery Of the Driveshaft

Ok so its not really a mystery but I do wonder how it ended up in a hedge. Not that hedge, the one that was by the kitchen window but is now gone. When Mr.Fuzzy's grandfather was trimming the hedge, this was in the middle of it. Was very odd to find.

Either some one tossed it in the back or they lugged the car parts through the building (my bet is on the neds chucking it).

So now it sits in the ground infront of the huge hole that the brats on the street made *angry face* I think it will stop most people from climbing through the hole :p But thankfully the brats haven't been back after more then a month yelling at them to "piss off"

The problem was since this flat had been empty for 3 months there was no one here to tell them to get off the lawn. The cops were called on them once (wasn't us, it happened before we moved in). They think they can do what ever they want because their parents tell them that they are "special" and can do no wrong. Yeah they are special but not in the way their parents think :p Everyone here has said to me don't stop yelling at them :p, the kids are hardly around now. At least we aren't sitting in the window with a water pistol aiming it at the kids :p

And before anyone says "kids will be kids", these kids are miniature neds, who if they could, would glass someone :/

But now that there is usually some one here, they haven't been back for months. But there is a house across from us that has been empty for a few months and the kids have gone from our lawn to that lawn :/ I feel sorry for the people that buy that house having to deal with the mess the kids have made. (they want too much for that house anyway. Not worth that in this neighbourhood)

The day started out so sunny, but within 10 minutes of me taking that pic, it poured :/ hmm the weathermen were right :p

Interesting story and photo to go with it, I hope the kids stay gone and maybe out grow the devilish behaviour!

  3. interesting pic ~ :)

sorry if this is a dumb question but what are 'neds'? and what does 'glass someone' mean? neither sound good.

i empathise with you. kids need to learn respect and parents just don't seem to teach that nowadays. we have brats in our street too which is the only reason i hate living here. they range in age from 8 up to around 17....all up around 10 of them. the parents never supervise or show any kind of parental control either. it drives me nuts because these kids have no respect for neighbour's yards or government property. they draw on the street signs (illegal but the parents do nothing), they were pulling the street signs out at one stage but i kept telling them to put them back. they have water balloon fights right outside our house and leave the mess of burst balloons, treat packets, broken eggs and soft drink (soda/pop) cans in their wake. it makes me so mad! i tell them to clean up their mess but it doesn't seem to work. i don't understand why they don't go and play in front of their own homes and make mess there. the other night, reece drove home and had to stop and drive around three of the girls who were actually lying out on the road with pillows and quilts at 11 PM.....what the f&$*???! and the parents would probably have the gall to blame the driver if their kids got hit.

    sorry for the rant.

  4. neds are Scottish hooligans, once you've seen one you can pick them out of a crowd. To glass someone is when a person smashes a glass bottle/drinking glass and shoves it in another persons face. its pretty common in some places :/

they don't play in front of their own homes because their parents don't want to clean up the mess.

Phone the cops next time that happens, even if they just scare the kids, if someone does hit them there would be evidence the kids were laying on the road for a time. The kids here like to do that too, we just blast the horn which I imagine would sound really loud when its a foot from your head :p

rant away, I agree completely that kids are not taught any kind of respect.

The brats here are about the same age. Not as bad as the 4 year old that broke into some ones house though, but they did have to put secure doors on this building to keep them out :/

  6. Yes the joys of dealing with other peoples unsupervised and undisciplined children seems to be universal.

  7. oh my! Brats must be universal-LOL!
Our "brats" belong to gangs and are armed with semi-automatic weapons and knifes. Sigh... it's an awful feeling to be afraid our own young people.

  8. yeah its universal :/ guns are illegal here but people will carry them anyway (not common, more in the bigger cities), and knives when they can't find a gun, (or baseball bats, golf clubs, or syringes filled with drugs :/ 2 years ago on the street we were on the druggies were chasing after people with needles. Cops were called and showed up pretty damn quick that day)

I'm not afraid, just fed up with them. I feel old saying that :p lol

  9. problem is, so many are told they are special constantly anymore.

I only got told that I think, one time. That's all I remember.

wow, now I'm actually hurt thinking back on that, ha!!
