A very neat looking mess tho :) Kind of reminds me of batik work, I like it. Expect a lot of gelli printing in the future,(partly to get my monies worth out of the plate :p)
i broke down and bought a gelliplate :p no space for a home made one in the fridge, and i can take this one to college with out fear of it leaking in my bag, or over everything :p so its sort of cheating :p but if i ever do have space to make one myself, i will add vinegar :)
This weeks colours for The Summer of Color are 2 purples and a yellow and this is what I did with them. Not my favorite colours so really racked my brain trying to think how I could use them and which bird to use. Decided to go with a juvenile Golden Eagle since I don't have any photos of a purple bird :p I think I prefer the black background, the yellow seems to stand out more against it. Which do you prefer?
It does look like batik! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteyeah and i probably will not be able to remember how i did it lol
DeleteThat is pretty cool Jen....love it
ReplyDeletethanks chrissy :D
DeleteNice! :) Love these colors.
ReplyDeletethanks sarah :) i think its the colours that really help it to look like its batik
DeleteOooh! Wow! Looks great. What a surprise, finally you try the jelly! Yay! Have fun.
ReplyDeletePS. Lately I've been adding vinegar and it seems to last forever.
