Summer of Colour #5
After 3 attempts at this, I finally managed to finish something for this week. I don't know it its the colours, (not my favorite together), the bird image I was using or the Illustrator gods just really really wanted to try my patience. Either way it is finished, and I am happy with how it looks :)

I guess color ~colour is in the eye of the beholder...For Goodness Sakes..HaHa) I love your bird and it's bright greens and pink colour.
ReplyDeletethank you :)
Deleteit just looks wrong to me colour spelt without the u lol
I love this color combination and your SOC project is so striking!
ReplyDeletethank you :)
Deleteexcellent! The background makes the other colors even better!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much :)
DeleteI love how your bird turned out! It was definitely worth all of your hard work!!! Your work of art is a beautiful representation of this week's SOC colors!
ReplyDeletethanks for the lovely comment :)
DeleteYes he looks fabolous in these colors! Ulrike
ReplyDeletethank you :)
DeleteNice painting. Your peahen is a little warhol-like:) - eric
ReplyDeletethanks :)
DeleteI often laugh at my British friends and say they need to learn ENGLISH (grin). Mom is not Mum. Color has no U. What is it with you Brits and U? And a trunk is not a boot. A boot is not necessarily a Wellie. OK That was seriously meant to be a joke, so I hope you will take it as such. I would never say anything disrespectful, so I hope you know this was written in jest.
ReplyDeleteHowever, you would rather I commented on the lovely peahen than its colours. I was really impressed with the distinction and where you placed each colour for maximum effect and perceived shading.
BTW, my speller is telling me colour is spelled wrong. But I sure like how you used them, anyway.
lol I didn't take offense at all, probably because I am Canadian and it takes a lot to get under our skin ;) and thank you :) my spell checker actually is telling me colour is wrong too lol but I think thats because I have the American dictionary turned on and seems to be the only country who doesn't spell it with a u is America. its actually pretty interesting when you read up on it but I fine language fascinating :)
Deletexo
ReplyDeleteYou created another beautiful bird, Jennifer Rose. I think it's a girl and a male is just trying to get her attention.
ReplyDeleteI'm German but I took on writing everything the American way years ago and don't waste the precious "u", lol.
thank you, and yep its a peahen :)
DeleteI've actually met a few German people who when they learned English adopted the American spelling of things, maybe make it easier to learn English without having to worry about silent letters?
the black really makes the colours (note I am a fan of including a 'u' !) pop - love the haughty look of the peahen - they always seem snobby birds to me
ReplyDeletethank you :) yes they always look snobbish lol like the look down on everyone :p
DeleteWhat a sweetie... I love how he turned out... beautiful work Jennifer...
