Life Drawing Practice

OK technically not life drawing since this is from a photo, but I don't have time to take an actual life drawing class, so this will have to do for practice. This need some more refining and then I might use my markers for the shading.

I found the photo here. Very useful site if you want to get some practice in drawing the human form.

    Lovely work! Not all of us have time or money to go to a life-drawing class (and some don’t have one within 50 miles or more), but they are great when you can get to them. If not, I think photos are just fine to use and there are plenty online.

      thanks Rhonda :) yep photos work when you just dont have a nearby class. of course the real thing in front of you is better but photos are better than not getting and figure drawing done :)

Summer of Colour #3

This weeks colours for The Summer of Color are 2 purples and a yellow and this is what I did with them. Not my favorite colours so really racked my brain trying to think how I could use them and which bird to use. Decided to go with a juvenile Golden Eagle since I don't have any photos of a purple bird :p I think I prefer the black background, the yellow seems to stand out more against it. Which do you prefer?
