Peanut Butter Cookies

This recipe is my grandmother's on my father's side. There use to be more of them but over time they got lost, but dad gave me this since I was at the time the only one who baked anything. I remember having these all the time when at the rare times we would get together at Xmas. I want to make them now, but am having a hell of a time finding shortening.

  1. Nothing like grandma's recipes. I have shortening on hand all the time. Crisco in a can. Hope you find some.

  4. Ohh, thanks for this. I had a similar recipe and it it long gone. We used to make sort of a hashtag on the top of each ball with a fork dipped in cold water so it didn’t stick, pushing the ball a little flat. Do you do that? Again, thank you for this.
