Fuzzydragons

Almost done the square part of the bag and then onto the sides and handles. Would have it done, but I had to take apart 2 rows because I messed up somehow :/ Was going to get a greenish fabric for the lining, but no. Going to go with some skull fabric I've had laying around for a few years :p The black should work well against the green *crosses fingers*

Mr.F made me a huge messenger bag :D I love it and the colours are really bright. Wont lose me in a crowd lol Just wish I had more of this fabric so I could make a little change purse or wallet. Huge zipper and pocket on the outside, flap covering the top and a zippered pocket in the inside. I think its official now. Mr.F has used my sewing machine more then I have lol but it does mean that if a pair of jeans gets ripped he can fix them now instead of waiting for me to get time to :p If it doesn't snow like everyone is saying it will tomorrow, I will get some pictures of it in the sun so people can see how bright it really is :) And if it does snow we can make a snowperson and it can model the bag :p

I did have a list going a few years ago but life really got in the way (MS crap mostly and moving overseas kinda put a stop to a lot of it). I did manage to complete about 25 things from the list, before I stopped and I have really been thinking I need to start another one to have some more goals. It was very hard to think of 101 things to put on a list the first time, so I just need to think of a few new things to replace the ones that I finished.They are not all art related, many of them people would be wondering why I would put on a list of things to do. That I would never do them (and some I might not, but they are there as a reminder of something I want to try). If I do start it would probably be tomorrow (1st September). So here we have a "bad" corner. Its not a weak corner, I just sewed over the piping by accident. When I make bags for other people and this happens, (doesn't happen that often. Piping is easy to sew. Just a pain on the fingers :p) I undue the stitches and do it again. An example of a neat proper looking corner. Now I am thinking that I should have maybe used purple or even a light yellow piping so it stands out more. Next time I will remember to take a fabric sample with me when I go get piping. Here we have the inner pockets sewn to the lining. If people want me to make a pocket tut, just let me know. Its not hard :) I used a straight stitch to keep it in place and than I used a stronger stitch as this pocket will probably be used to keep change or my cell phone in and I don't want it ripping away from the lining. So I thought it might be a professional touch to have labels to sew onto any bags or stuffed animals I make. So after finding a shop I can get them done at a reasonable price I spent most of the day designing labels, and this is what I came up with. Very simple (yes this took me half a day, don't laugh! :P). I did have the dragon that is in my banner above where the little inked dragon is, but I could never get it to print right without it looking really blurry. So a few quick little scribbles later and time for the ink to dry (remembers horrible time when I didn't let the ink dry and I ruined a huge drawing and ended up with ink on my hands and face for a week...), I had a little dragon finished. I do have a Xmas dragon picture drawn, but because of the size I don't know if it will get finished by Xmas. Going to try though *crosses fingers*. Of course I might get sidetracked making cookies tomorrow :) I was sad to read this about Terry Pratchett :( I really enjoy his book...
