i post pieces in the ugly stage to show people that everyone goes through that with coloured pencils. i have seen so many people give up at the ugly stage, when they should try to continue. :)
My poor neglected blog! I just keep forgeting and running out of time in the day to post anything. I will try to post at least a few times a week *crossign fingers*
Rudolph :) One of many kids toys that are now the dog's. For a lot of her toys, we've found that toys meant for kids seem to last longer than ones meant for dogs. And are often a lot cheaper :p
We get ugly stages in acrylics too. I think you're off to a great start. I LOVE your fishy! It makes me think of Salish art.

DeleteI'm always so self conscious when the piece is in the "ugly stage". I try to hide it from anyone seeing it till I get past that point :D

DeleteYou see, I can see a swan and it looks just like a swan and I think 'How wonderful'!! My fingers would be permanently crossed if I tried to draw!!
