Falcon Update #15

Almost done roughing in the bottom section. The feathers here are bigger so do not take as much time to do, when I can find the time to work on this. I will be so glad when I can start the shading and it won't look so flat.

People might be wondering why I do the details first and then shade, why don't I do both at once? It is much easier to get proper gradients when shading if you are etching over the whole piece. If you try to do the shading bit by bit, it can end up looking like a very broken and really rough. Much smoother and realistic looking doing the shading once the details are done.
