Fuzzydragons

Started to put the website images together. It isn't live yet so I didn't post a link to the site because you don't get any moving images but the dragon parts move up and down when you scroll the mouse wheel. Muse can be a pain in the butt to use. Somethings are so easy, somethings you can try for hours to get to work before they do and even then the slightest change can sometimes stop things working right. I'm hoping to have it finished in the next couple of days, depending on if we end up being given work tomorrow at Uni that we need to get finished when we go back on the 11th

Updated my website and created a Facebook page. Been resisting creating a Facebook page because I didn't think I would remember to update it lol but so far so good. I know the website is plain looking, but I like that. Not a huge fan of flashing graphics and everything just thrown at your face, so I keep my sites as plain as I can.

I've mentioned before how much I hate code, and math is not my strong suit, so add numbers and percents into the mix and I want to chuck my laptop off the roof and draw the mess that results (100 points if a ned is hit in the process :p) But here is what I have so far, a rough start after Mr.F showed me how div tags work and then told me of a few links and handed me some books and said "here, know you learn". hmph. Thanks, Mr I have a computer degree, very helpful :p

Over the next few days (hopefully days not weeks) I am going to be finishing my website. I need to update the art, add commission info and add links. Now this is what I need help with. I need some more links. You don't have to link back but if you want your link here and on my site just let me know :) Also if you have any interesting art or craft links those would be helpful too :D I like the how simple my site looks I just need to work on updating it and seeing if all the code works properly :) so send me your links please (preferably stuff that isn't going to send people screaming and running away lol) If you have a site banner even better :D Which reminds me I should probably update my site banners

Dragon Website Header Copyright Jennifer Rose Phillip I had to draw a different dragon for my website. Just needed a little one to put near the top now. John has been working on the new design off and on for the last few weeks. It is going to look very simple but really I don't need nor do I want a flashy website. Its still going to be green on black just have to remember how to do that in Photoshop :p

So what do the people that read this blog think? Too green? Too bright? The green is bright on my screen but it doesn't hurt my eyes. But I wont to know if it does hurt anyone's eyes or if you think it might turn people away from the site? It will of course be bigger and there will be a news box under where it says news and between the dragons tail. I will add my Etsy store to the for sale section because I think for the moment it will just be easier for any potential buyers. Any suggestions are most welcome!

Copyright Jennifer Rose Phillip A dragon for my website re-design. I am planning on trying to colour it with my tablet, but that might take awhile lol. There are a few little inking mistakes, but you don't really notice them and I'm hoping that once it is coloured they are not noticeable at all. I need to find a few pieces of code for my site and then try to figure out how it all goes together. I want to try to make the new site by myself (and that will add more grey hair to my head, goes to get box of hair dye), but I'm pretty sure I will end up going to John to ask for help. Any news updates are going to go above his tail, and the menu will go to the right of his head. I like the colours I have picked for it, but I have a habit of picking colours that are way too bright for most people (get the sunglasses out). Switched my site over finally. Still need to change it so that the address bar reads fuzzydragons.com , not what it currently does. Typing in www.fuzzydragons.com sends you to my site, but its redirecting currently to where it is hosted. So I have to look into possible hosting options So have a look and tell me if anything looks odd or any links don't work. www.fuzzydragons.com I'm trying to write an artist's statement. I thought it was hard writing a bio that was vaguely interesting, or at least not that boring. Writing something that is supposed to be professional sounding and doesn't turn into an epic novel feels almost impossible. It is not a requirement for anything at the moment, but I figure if I write it now, there will not be such a rush in the future.

Copyright 2007 Jennifer Phillip The weekend was really quiet due to a really bad sinus headache, so nothing was done artwise, actually not much was done besides trying to avoid looking down. Worked a bit on the tiger picture today, but I forgot how many layers Stonehenge paper takes to get dark colours after the last few pieces of art I finished were on the Canson paper. So it will be a long time before it is done and I can post it online. I do really like Stonehenge for graphite work, has a very nice soft look when finished. I really have to try and remember to do more pencilwork on this paper. The above was drawn for another idea for a website banner. Now that my tablet is working again I will probably just use it to colour the piece, probably quicker than coloured pencils (thats the idea at least). And I just want to pet our new scanner. Its so nice not to have to mess with a picture in photoshop for sometimes hours, and instead just scan and put the image online almost right away. ...

Horrible weather outside, not as bad as some places though. Windy and wet. Probably going to be ice all over the sidewalks and the roads. Is it spring yet?? On the plus side there isn't enough snow to have to shovel (unlike last winter where we were shovelling the drive way while it snowed so we wouldn't get snowed in. No art update today, unless I start colouring now. Worked on my website all day today. Took a little longer then I thought, but considering I really have no idea what I am doing it didn't take that long lol. I had to resize a lot of pictures and make thumbnails for the galleries. I put very few pieces actually on the new site, anything that was really old was taken off. I'm horrible with writing any kind of text about myself and I'm having a hard time trying to come up with something to put on the front page. Hopefully I will think of something. *crosses fingers* Not sure when the site will be online, I have to double check links and spelling before ...

So my site isn't working right now, so until I can get a hold of someone who can help it's going to be broken. *edit* John says the server is down, hopefully get it all figured out when he gets home
