Fuzzydragons

So Day 1 of Inktober is already a fail lol. I finished the sketch but just ran out of time to ink it but tomorrow is another day and hopefully since I plan on inking this digitally I get it finished *crosses fingers* I'm not using the official prompts for this but a prompt from last months smaugust which involes drawing dragons for a month. I would have done that challenge last month but didn't learn of until a few days ago. The post with the original challenge post can be find here .

So I decided to draw another scarab because I was bored lol I think I am going to colour this digitally, I did think about using coloured pencils but that would take forever and I'm not sure I have big enough paper to use. As usual I drew half and then mirrored the image to make a whole scarab. Not sure of the colour scheme for this, probably dark blue and maybe a silver.

I am so far behind with my digital sketches that the only way I will get the number of right pieces done for the  month as if they are all loose like this one lol I  might just end up creating loose sketches like this and colouring a few of them later when  have more time.

Starting to get caught up on the sketches for this month. When finished this will be for day 4 and wont have the black sketch lines on it. They are just so I have a rough idea of where to put the colour. Not sure about the background, probably just some simple  colour once its finished.

This isn't finished but I did almost get the sketch for day 3 done so I wouldn't be too far behind. My hand is getting use to using a tablet again, its not like riding a bike, but I don't have to relearn everything again.

A tree for Everyday in May #15. Its a cartoon tree, but for a 5 minute sketch I was not going to try to draw something realistic.

Everyday in May #14 is 'A toy'. As a kid I had a lot of My Little Ponies, even a few of the plushies. I don't like the redesign, kind of creepy looking lol

Everyday in May day #13 is 'Your favourite song'. i don't think I have one favourite song but I do have a favourite band, Our Lady Peace :)

Day #12 for Everyday in May is 'pastime/amusement' which besides drawing would be reading. I usually have a book or 3 on the go at one time, very unusual if I am not reading anything.

Probably not what was meant for 'spring' for Everyday in May, but it is a spring lol

I had no idea what to draw for todays prompt, "satisfying lantern". So I went with a very loose interpretation of the prompt and technically a lamp is not a lantern, but it would be satisfying to find a genie....OK its a bit of a stretch lol This is a very quick sketch about 10 minutes total.

The sketch for a Halloween dragon for this year. The idea is to digitally paint this since I can just delete any mistakes I make lol

It was my birthday yesterday, so I did nothing but watch Youtube videos and play Command and Conquer all day, but back to work today. More dog/puppy sketches, done in pen this time. I wanted to make a cute puppy like character, harder than people think to keep it cute but still looking like a dog. I kept drawing cat heads lol The body on this one works but I need to attach the head from below onto it. Now to vector the sketches in Illustrator to make the lines clearer, but first, more research for Uni.

A parakeet for #149 and a Village weaver for #150. I haven't seen any weaver birds other than on tv, but its neat to see them build their hanging nests.

Well, Sky drawn with my left hand. There are theories that dogs can be right or left handed and different ways to tell which they are, as well as being left or right paw dominant actually can show your dogs temperament. Some dogs do seem to use one paw more than the other, but don't think you can tell the temperament based on which paw your dog prefers *shrug* This isn't part of my 365 challenge,  John just wanted to see if I could draw Sky with my left hand. Not bad for the first dog I have drawn with my left hand.

A flock of bird drawings to play catch up. A penguin for #107, and a tubby Kea for #108. There were signs all over in New Zealand saying watch your cars because Kea's are very curious and will take things apart (destroy things), but I thought it was odd since we were not near where the birds would be. A Spoonbill for #109. I've never seen one of these in a zoo, would be neat to actually see one but would have to go down south. We went to the deer centre the other day, and John got this lucky shot of wolf looking like a dog. You could really see how dog like they can be sometimes, or how dogs sometimes act like wolves (even tho they really act differently and react to situations differently, so not good pets and probably not going to learn to sit or shake a paw :p). I am dragging myself around from the pain from 2 days ago, but saw some nice birds and probably drove the guy showing us the birds insane with all my questions lol Started another dragon today, and hopefully my pens don't run out of ink before I finish him *crosses fingers* My arm is bright red from sitting in the back drawing this, must remember sunscreen next time (my arm looks like a lobster). Number 90 left handed sketch of a Crowned Pigeon . I have seen these in zoos, another striking bird with a crest.
